he event, jointly organised by Upasana and Lalit Kala Kendra, started with a Saandhya Pheri, in line with rich and colourful traditions that have attracted students and cultural enthusiasts of the city. A procession was also held wherein the palki of Tagore was carried in turns by people, starting with SPPU vice-chancellor, Dr Nitin Karmalkar and Prof Somak Raychoudhuri, director of IIUCA. The procession saw people singing and dancing to Bengali tunes of Tagore, some of which were also translated into Marathi.
